Tinubu hails Hadiza Bala-Usman at 50, commends decades of public service

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated his Special Adviser on Policy Coordination and Head of the Central Results Delivery Coordination Unit (CRDCU), Hadiza Bala-Usman, on the occasion of her 50th birthday, describing her as a dedicated patriot with an outstanding record of public service.

In a statement issued on Thursday, January 2, 2026, the President said Bala-Usman’s nearly three decades in public service reflect service, sacrifice and an unwavering commitment to national development.

President Tinubu recalled her early career at the Bureau of Public Enterprises, noting that even at a young age, she demonstrated clarity of vision and a strong understanding of the structural reforms required to drive economic growth.

He highlighted her leadership and achievements at the Abuja Enterprise Agency and the Nigerian Ports Authority as defining milestones in her career, crediting her with breaking barriers, raising standards and strengthening accountability in public administration.

The President also commended her political contributions, particularly her role in party organisation and institutional development within the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he said helped entrench internal processes, organisational effectiveness and democratic values.

According to Tinubu, Bala-Usman has continued to distinguish herself in her current role as Special Adviser and Head of the CRDCU through discipline, clear thinking and a strong focus on results.

“Hadiza’s efforts have helped strengthen the governance framework, evidence-based performance, and enhanced the realisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda. I thank her for her single-minded commitment to our administration and national service,” the President said.

He prayed for continued strength, wisdom and good health for her, expressing hope that she would remain an inspiration to women, young people and emerging leaders across the country as she marks the milestone birthday.

The statement was signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
