Tinubu Ends Working Vacation

….Departs Paris For Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ended his working vacation in Europe and departed Paris, France, for Nigeria, the Presidency has said.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu is expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, later today.

The President is scheduled to spend several days in Lagos, where he will hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Tinubu will also use his Lagos visit to honour the memory of the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, widely regarded as the winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.

On Independence Day, October 1, the President is expected to attend the premiere of a movie commemorating Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.

President Tinubu departed Abuja on August 30 for his working vacation, spending one week in London before proceeding to Paris.

During his stay in Paris, the President attended a private dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron and held meetings with business leaders, including Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group, whose interests include Canal+, MultiChoice and Universal Music Group.

He also met with the Chairman of First Holdings, Femi Otedola, on Monday.

The President last week witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ogun State Government and DP World for the development of a deep seaport in Ogun Waterside and the establishment of a Blue Marine Economic Zone.

According to the Presidency, DP World plans to invest $7 billion in the seaport and economic zone project.

President Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja after concluding his political engagements in Lagos.
