Tinubu at 74: Araraume Hails President’s Reform Agenda, Leadership Style

A leading figure of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ifeanyi Araraume, has extended warm birthday wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, applauding his leadership approach and the sweeping reforms introduced since taking office.

In a statement released on Saturday, Araraume described the President as a bold and decisive reformer whose policies are reshaping Nigeria’s economic and governance framework.

He observed that Tinubu’s time in office has been characterised by far-reaching decisions targeted at stabilising the economy and positioning the country for sustainable growth.

The senator identified the removal of fuel subsidy as one of the administration’s most consequential policies, noting that it underscored the President’s readiness to tackle entrenched structural issues. While acknowledging the challenges associated with the move, Araraume said it has enabled the redirection of resources to critical sectors such as infrastructure and social development.

He also praised the harmonisation of the foreign exchange market, describing it as a key reform that has helped rebuild investor confidence and enhance Nigeria’s competitiveness on the global stage.

According to him, these economic measures have renewed interest from international stakeholders and demonstrated a commitment to greater transparency in fiscal management.

On infrastructure, Araraume pointed to ongoing efforts to upgrade road networks, expand rail systems, and improve electricity supply as clear indicators of the administration’s development priorities.

He further commended interventions in the agricultural sector, particularly initiatives focused on mechanisation and food security, which he said are vital for boosting local production and reducing reliance on imports.

Highlighting foreign policy efforts, the APC chieftain noted Tinubu’s active engagement within Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and beyond, adding that such diplomacy has strengthened regional ties and elevated Nigeria’s global standing.

“As we mark this milestone, it is fitting to acknowledge the determination and resilience President Tinubu has brought to governance,” Araraume stated, wishing the President continued good health, strength, and wisdom as he steers the nation through a critical phase in its history.
