Those who threaten Nigeria’s peace will face the full weight of the law — Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding citizens, declaring that anyone who endangers the nation’s peace and security “will face the full weight of the law.”

The President made the declaration on Sunday while presiding over an extended security meeting at the State House with Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), and heads of Nigeria’s intelligence agencies.

Tinubu said the meeting was convened to review the latest intelligence reports and take decisive steps to stabilise areas recently affected by security breaches. He noted that he had been receiving continuous briefings and had issued firm directives to security operatives to move with “speed, precision, and absolute resolve.”

According to him, the government is taking all necessary measures to protect lives and maintain territorial integrity, assuring citizens that Nigeria will overcome its current challenges.

The President concluded on a confident note, stating: “Nigeria will prevail.”
