Those calling for Saraki’s recall embarrassing God- Group

A political group of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC),  Progresives Youth Forum (PYF) has described as ‘laughable’ and embarrassment to God, those making move within the Kwara Central Senatorial zone  to recall the Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

A statement signed on Sunday in Abuja by the PYF Chairman and Secretary Alhaji Mahmud Lawal and Abdul-Rahman Abubakar respectively, urged Nigerians to disregard the group they described as ‘faceless’ in Kwara state.

The statement said that the Senate President should be allowed to do his job without unnecessary distractions, warning that if Senator Saraki is recalled, Kwara state Senators can not be allowed to replace him as the Senate President.

The statement reads in part: “The group is embarrassing God because out of Ninety-six (96) Senatorial Seats in Nigeria. One Senator from Kwara Central Zone was elected to represent Nigeria. Did God sleep or unmindful of what the so-called group will do before handing over the mandate to Kwara Central Sentorial Zone, Kwara as a whole? Where are the group calling or “giving” warning for our able capable Senate President recall?

“Our question is this, who or which group within the constituency is calling for his recall?

“Another advice to the group is that, they should know and note that Dr. Bukola Abubakar Sakari had received enough challenges since he assumed office as the senate president and the group should not further hit up the policy for their personal political gains. Exceedingly, the senate president will attend to everybody, patience is what we need.

“Furthermore, the group giving warning of recall in one of the Punch Newspaper should be informed that if Dr. Bukola Saraki is recalled, Kwara Senators will not have an opportunity to replace Dr. Bukola Saraki with a Kwaran and what becomes the whole opportunity God has bestowed Kwara even at a political struggle for North and South dichotomy reigning in Nigeria of today.”
