Teenager stabbed to death at Delta wedding reception
A teenager Oghenemaro Eriana has been stabbed to death by a bouncer at a wedding reception in Mofor, Udu council area of Delta State.
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon at the popular Wetland Hotel in the area.
The Nation learnt the victim was trying to pick up money sprayed on the couple during the ceremony, when the bouncer, Francis Utuedor, stabbed him in the process.
It was gathered that the victim lived along Kolokolo Street in Udu Road and went to the party with his mother.
Findings revealed that the mother of the teenage boy was already bereaved following the loss of her older son two months ago.
The groom is said to be a neighbour of the family of the deceased.
The Delta State Police Command confirmed the development, noting that the suspect has been arrested.
When contacted, its spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, said: “It happened at Wetland Hotel. The suspect is in our custody”.
