Ibn Abbas (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah(SAW) was the most generous of all men; and he was the most generous during the month of Ramadan when Jibril visited him every night and recited the Quran to him. During this period, the generosity of Messenger of Allah (SAW) waxed faster than the rain bearing wind.[Al-Bukhari & Muslim].
Reported Anas (RA) : The Prophet (SAW) came to visit Sa’d bin ‘Ubadah (RA) who presented bread and olive oil to him. The Prophet (SAW) ate it & said, “The observers of fast have broken their fast with you” meaning : ‘(May Allah reward you for providing a fasting people with food to break their fast’); the pious people have eaten your food and the angels invoked blessings on you.”. [Abu Dawud]
These two Hadith induces us on the Excellence of Spending out Charity , benevolence & generosity during Ramadan.

Thus It’s the prayer of the Prophet SAW, as it denotes “May Allah give you the reward of one who arranges for the Iftar (breaking the Saum) of somebody.”
Thus, it induces one to hospitality according to his means.
Recitation & or Listening of the readings from the Holy Qur’an, (reading and hearing the Qur’an) .
The reason for the stress on the Qur’an is that the Qur’an and the month of Ramadan are closely linked with each other. The Qur’an was revealed in this. Blessed Month .
