Six dead, 30 injured as Boko Haram bombs IDP camps

About six persons have been killed and 30 others injured following a Boko Haram bomb attack on a camp housing displaced persons in northern Cameroon.

The twin blasts which tore through the camp in the town of Kolofata, occurred about 6am after two bombers sneaked into the camp and detonated their bombs killing themselves, the New Telegraph reports.

According to local government official, six persons were killed by the blast while 30 people were wounded.

The official stated that 10 persons were seriously injured from the double bombing. A police officer said four people were confirmed dead, noting that both bombers also died.

Following the Boko Haram crisis in northern Nigeria, thousands of Nigerian refugees have flooded across the border and local residents have been forced to flee their homes to Northern Cameroon which has also been battling the insurgents.
