Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has advice couples to settle their differences amicably and shun the temptation of domestic violence.

The governor made this known while settling a dispute between Benue State Channel’s Reporter, Pius Angbo and his wife, Doctor Mrs. Ifeyinwa Angbo, who was earlier assaulted by her husband.

He stated that both couples who are vanguards in their professions should act as role models to foster peace and cooperation to other couples.

Mr. Pius Angbo in his response said he has apologized to his wife over the assault and is seeking forgiveness from women folks around the county stressing to amend his ways and be a better husband and a father.

His wife Dr Angbo who claimed to have accepted his apologies said their marriage needs prayers to grow in love and train their kids in a peaceful atmosphere.

The couple however thanked the governor for his fatherly advice, saying his gesture was a prove of his love for them, as his intervention has safe their marriage.
