SGF Akume attends 72nd birthday thanksgiving with new wife

Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, on Saturday celebrated his 72nd birthday with a thanksgiving service at St. John the Baptist Cathedral, Gboko, Benue State, where he was seen in public alongside his new wife, Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George Akume Dajoh.

The appearance followed reports that a member of the Akume family had publicly confirmed the marriage less than 24 hours earlier.

In a statement by the Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the SGF, Segun Imohiosen, Akume used the event to underscore the importance of accountability across the three tiers of government as a foundation for sustainable national development.

He was quoted as saying that national progress is a shared responsibility, which can only be achieved through effective collaboration and synergy among the federal, state, and local governments.
