Senate Invites Ahmad Isa Of Berekete Family Radio For Hearing
By Comrade Austin Igechi.
The Nigerian Senate has summoned Ahmad Isa, popularly known as “Ordinary President” of the Brekete Family Radio, to appear before it on February 27, 2025. The Senate has issued a strong warning that failure to honor this invitation could result in legal consequences. Senate President Godswill Akpabio emphasized that the legislature remains unaware of any official human rights radio station and that Isa must comply with the summons to clarify his position and activities.
The Senate’s invitation comes amidst growing concerns over human rights advocacy and public influence. Akpabio stressed that no individual is above the law, regardless of their cause. However, he acknowledged that Isa’s work resonates deeply with the less privileged, and any attempt to silence him could be perceived as an attack on the voice of the people. He assured the public that the Senate remains committed to justice and fairness in handling the matter.
In conclusion, the outcome of Isa’s appearance before the Senate will be crucial in determining the future of his advocacy. His influence on the masses cannot be overlooked, and the government must tread carefully to ensure that due process is followed while respecting the rights of all citizens.
