SEASONED BROADCAST JOURNALIST,FUNMI WAKAMA APPOINTS NTA GENERAL MANAGER
A seasoned broadcast journalist Funmi Wakama has been appointed as new General Manager of Nigeria Television Authoriy, NTA 12, Abeokuta.
DailyDispatch reliably gathered that, the former and first media aide to Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun has been issued a letter of appointment by national headquarters of the station, with immediate effect.
She is also expected to resume duty on Monday, as her predecessor was also deployed to Nigeria Television Authority,NTA, Osogbo to resume as the General Manager.
Sources informed that, Wakama, a proacive journalist and popular face on the network service of Nigeria Television Authority,NTA, national headquarters got her upliftment letter late Thursday.
However, she has continued to receive congratulatory messages from various quarters across the globe,following the elevation.
The founder of penpushing social media platform, Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, on behalf of 256 members of the platform said Wakama deserves the promotion,having monitored her track records in the journalism world.
‘This is a cheering news, and worth commendation. Funmi Wakama is a broadcast journalist of repute. She is known to be competent and proactive on the profession. Her elevation is not a surprise because of her track records in journalism profession’, Kayode-Adedeji said.
He further added that, the platform would give all necessary support to her, in turning round her new station, adding that, the promotion was a welcome devellopment.

Meanwhile, when contacted the new General Manager beamed with smile, as she confirmed her elevation, which she also affirmed was with immediate effect.
