SDP governorship candidate, Otunba Paseda buries father amidst fanfare, as dignitaries shower encomiums

The final burial ceremony of Pa. Solomon Olaitan Paseda, father of Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate at the March 2019 elections, Otunba Rotimi Paseda was held on Friday amidst fanfare and celebration.
The event held at Euphoria event centre, Lagos had in attendance dignitaries across the political, economic and social sectors in Nigeria. Leading the pack of dignitaries at the event was the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Others were Otunba Wale Osinubi, Senator Anthony Adefuye, Rt. Hon. Titi Oseni, Hon. Kayode Amusan, Otunba Wale Okuniyi, Hamzat Tafawa Balewa, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Dr. Reuben Abati, Senator Buruji Kashamu, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru,  Remilekun Bakare, and amongst.
The highlight of the ceremony was the series of encomiums and commendations showered on the late icon, whose contributions to the upbringing of his children and many others within his community, state and Nigeria at large were immeasurable.
Many of the dignitaries however made a reference point to the lifestyle of the SDP governorship candidate, Otunba Paseda and other children as a modest inherited from their late father.
The late Pa Paseda, who died three months to his 90th anniversary in July, 2019, remains was laid to rest at his home town, Omu-Ijebu in Odogbolu local government. He was survived by five children, as well as 12 grand children and five great-grand children.
Similarly, in his lifetime, he was a renowned retired store keeper at PZ company, and a devoted Christian, whose has contributed immensely to the growth and development of his community and Nigeria as a whole.
It was not surprising as his contributions to the entire society could be attested to the arrays of dignitaries who graced the occasion to appreciate him even life after at the event.
It could be recalled that even in the far northern part of Nigeria, Emir of Bichi in Kano Emirates, His Royal Highness, Aminu Ado Bayero described the death of late Paseda as a great loss to Ogun State and Nigeria in a condolence letter sent to the family and chairman, Paseda Legacy Foundation, where he said the deceased will be remembered for his contribution to nation building.
