Sardauna’s Minister, Gaya dies in Kano at 107

Alhaji Sule Gaya, Sarkin Fadar Kano has died, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.

He died on Thursday, June 21, in Kano, according to a family member, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi.

According to Amina, Alhaji Gaya would be buried on Friday, June 22, at the palace. Aged 107, the deceased left behind many children, grand children and great grand children.

Alhaji Gaya was a member of the Northern Region’s legislature and once served as the parliamentary secretary in the regional ministry of Lands and Survey during the First Republic. (NAN)
