Saraki blames APC for Ekweremadu’s emergence as deputy senate president
Senate president Bukola Saraki has blamed the poor preparations by his party All Progressives Congress for the emergence for the emergence of Ike Ekweremadu as the deputy senate president.
Replying to tweets by a follower @irene_achamaja on Monday, May 1, Saraki noted the PDP members were all present for the Senate leadership elections while the APC members were nowhere to be found.
He noted that the story would have been different if APC members had just showed up.
He said this also helped him emerge Senate President because the PDP members have agreed before hand to support him.
The former Kwara state governor however denied that he made any deal with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which had just been voted out of power at the time.
