Sanwoolu was an ex-convict, not fit to rule Lagos State- Ambode
The governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode has described his co contestant for the state All Progressive Congress APC governorship ticket, Babajide Sanwo-Olu as an ex-convict.
Ambode who made the disclosure during a world press conference on Sunday in Lagos also said Sanwoolu was a mentally derail person who was rehabilitated in an hospital in Lagos.
Ambode while speaking on Sanwoolu’s sojourned in the United States pointed out that the man was arrested some time ago in the USA for spending hard currency in a night club.
According to the governor, Sanwoolu was detained for several months.
He explained further that the man also went to rehabilitation Centre in Lagos after suffering from mental disorder, noting that the records are there to show.
He urged the party leaders to allow all registered members of the party to exercise their voting rights.
Ambode urged Lagosian to remain peaceful and demonstrate restraints during the primary.
He assured residents of the state adequate security of lives and properties.
Responding to a question of his possible withdrawal from the governorship race, Ambode reaffirmed that he remain committed to APC and that he is not going to any party to realise his ambition.
According to him, his achievements in Lagos state since the beginning of his administration, place him at an advantage over his co-contender.
