Revealed! Edo 2020: APC governor hires statistician to anchor Obaseki’s reelection
The lingering crisis within the All Progressives Congress (APC) may affect the party chances at the forthcoming Governorship Elections in Edo State as aggrieved governors are currently planning to ensure that Governor Godwin Obaseki is reelected by all means.
It could be recalled last week when governor Obaseki boldly stated that some of the party governors have already promised to give him support, and to be reelected as governor of Edo State.
Daily Dispatch gathered from a reliable source (names withheld) alleged that a statistician loyal to an APC governor from the number two man state has already been contacted to anchor the election for Obaseki.
The statistician, who specialised in rigging and manipulation of elections results is expected to arrive Edo State next month for general overview of all the 18 local governments, and many other strategic places that could pose a threat to their missions.
It was gathered that the statistician job in Edo will be to identify and pinpoint potential rigging areas for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, and to ensure that elections results at the APC strong hold will not count.
Similarly, he is also to man the control room on election day, while some APC governors will also be on ground to assist Obaseki, as they are already planning ahead in case of rigging.
Furthermore, he hinted that some of these APC govs are aggrieved, that was why they are making use of governor Abiodun hatchet man to work against the party interest in retaliation to the kind of treatment netted unto them by the party leaders.
