…Says he will collaborate with Obande to speed up the conversion of BENPOLY to Federal Poly

The Honourable Member representing Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo has hailed the appointment of Amb. Ogbe Obande as Chairman, Governing Council of the Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo.

Dr. Ottah Agbo in a statement by his Media Adviser, Mr. Andrew Agbese, described the appointment as deserving saying he has no doubt that Amb. Ogbe would bring his wealth of experience to bear in overseeing the institution.

The Lawmaker who is the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Narcotic Drugs, said having served as Rector of the institution, Amb. Ogbe is better placed to serve the institution in a higher capacity.

Dr. Ottah Agbo, popularly known as the Ozigizaga and the Moving Train of Enone, said it was his desire to see to the positive transformation of the Polytechnic that made him sponsor a bill that would place the institution under the funding of the Federal Goverment.

He expressed hope that the new Chairman of Council would initiate the necessary measures to prepare the Polytechnic for the transformation.

The Honourable Member thanked the Benue State governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom for making the appointment saying the Governor, has by that decision proven his belief in quality service to the people.

He said: “On behalf of the long suffering people of Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, I congratulate Amb. Obande and pray for God’s guidance as he assumes office.”
