Rep Ottah Agbo congratulates Gov. Ortom @ 60, Calls Him The Protector Of The Benue Trough!

…Says Governor has restored the dignity of Benue people

…Compares Ortom with Elijah who outran the chariots of Ahab after fulfilling a divine mandate

The Honourable Member representing Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo, has congratulated the Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ioraer Ortom as he clocks 60!

Dr. Ottah Agbo in a statement by his Media Adviser, Mr. Andrew Agbese, said it is a thing of joy to see Governor Ortom attain more years on earth saying this translates to more years of service to the people.

The Lawmaker also known as the Ozigizaga and the Moving Train of Enone, said Ortom has given a good account of himself as a leader so much so that it can be said without fear of contradiction, that he lives for and dreams his people.

“Like the legendary JS Tarka, who rose to the occassion to defend Benue people, particularly the Tivs, during the Tiv massacre in the 1960s, as well as, champion minority rights, Ortom has become the unifying force and champion for restoration of the dignity of the people of Benue,” he said.

While thanking Ortom for protecting the Benue Trough through the establishment of the Anti-Open Grazing Law, Dr. Ottah Agbo who doubles as the House Minority Spokesman and Chairman on Narcotic Drugs Committee, said with the law, the Governor has succeeded in safeguarding Benue against the marauding herdsmen!

Dr. Ottah Agbo, fondly called the Cicero of Enone, said Governor Ortom is a servant leader who bears the scar for standing for his people adding that no politician in the current dispensation has been made to pass through the travails Ortom has been through in the course of standing for his people.

He said despite the persecution, the Governor has not only remained standing but is waxing stronger.

“You know a true man of the people when his support base remains unfazed irrespective of the political platform he stands on.

“The APC apparatchik did not want to give him a return ticket, but his people beckoned on him to move to PDP, as they were with him anywhere he went, so he changed his platform and won the seat of Governor on the platform of the Minority PDP; this would have been an impossibility if he had not truly been a man of the people!

“This shows consistency in popular support and appreciation by the people he is serving ,” the Lawmaker stated.

Dr. Ottah Agbo recalled that only last month, an attempt was made on the governor’s life but said God gave Governor Ortom strength like Elijah to outrun the chariots of the enemy.

Quoting from 1st Kings 18:46, the Lawmaker said the same way “the power of the LORD came on Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel,” Ortom outran his enemies when they attempted to attack him on his farm.

The Lawmaker said it would be wrong to dismiss such feats as mere coincidences saying with the benefit of deep spiritual interrogation, it is clear that Governor Ortom has the divine mandate to govern Benue.

Dr. Ottah Agbo called on the people of Benue to continue to give their support to the Governor so as to achieve the vision and plans he has for them.

He also prayed God to continue to keep the Governor in good health so that the millions of people under his watch would be able to live peacefully without fear or intimidation.
