Registration deadline set for CB-WASSCE private candidates — WAEC

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has shifted the closing date for registration in the Computer-Based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) for private candidates to September 19, 2025.

The announcement was made on Friday through WAEC’s official X handle.

Originally, registration was scheduled to end on September 5, 2025.

“The registration period for CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2025—Second Series, has been extended to Friday, September 19, 2025. All prospective candidates are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity,” the Council stated.

Although the extension offers more time for interested candidates, concerns persist over WAEC’s transition from traditional manual registration to the fully digital process now in place.
