RECTEM will raise new generation of technologists – Adeboye
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has reaffirmed that the newly-established Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management (RECTEM) would target the raising of champions in the field of technology and management courses.
The polytechnic that may commence admission of candidates into various programmes for the 2019 academic session has the following Schools and Departments: School of Science and Technology: Computer Science; Science Laboratory Technology (SLT); School of Management Studies: Business Administration and Management and Accountancy.
Others are School of Engineering Technology: Computer Engineering; Electrical/Electronic Engineering; School of Environmental Science; Architecture; Estate Management and Quantity Surveying.
In the same vein, Rector of the College, Prof. Adedeji Daramola, explained that the institution is fundamentally unique from similar institutions across the country, adding that “RECTEM is fundamentally unique from similar institutions by virtue of its vigorous involvement in research and development in technology, through its set pattern of exploratory innovation outside the traditional classroom environment”.
According to him, extensive teaching and learning take precedence in inter-disciplinary programmes, laboratories and centre whose work extends beyond traditional departmental boundaries as each member of the college community and be the game-changer in the country’s education landscape.
The Polytechnic approval by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) is set to provide leadership in a technological revolution in Africa by advancing the frontier of practical knowledge and education in the field of science, technology, management and other areas of studies that will best serve the nation and the world at large.
