Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies Celebrates First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu at 65
As Nigeria marked International Day of Peace, Senator Pastor Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, also celebrated her 65th birthday—a moment that drew heartfelt tributes from across the nation.
Among the well-wishers was Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, a former female Presidential Candidate and United Nations POLAC Peace Ambassador, who issued a glowing congratulatory message, calling the First Lady “a shining example of peace, humility, and service.”
In her tribute, Prof. Adesanya-Davies highlighted Senator Tinubu’s legacy of peaceful leadership, family values, and national development.
“Your birthday being marked on the same date as the International Day of Peace is no coincidence. It symbolizes all you stand for,” she said. “You are a beacon of peace and compassion whose work through the Renewed Hope Initiative has transformed millions of lives.”
Tribute to a Woman of Impact
Prof. Adesanya-Davies praised Senator Tinubu’s steadfast support of her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and her consistent advocacy for women’s empowerment, youth development, and humanitarian service.
“Your dedication to the welfare of Nigerians is a testament to your love for this great nation,” she added. “Your life has inspired so many—women, children, and the vulnerable—reminding us that leadership begins with service.”
A Poetic Tribute from the Heart
The message included a touching original poem titled “A First Lady with Mother’s Love”, celebrating Senator Tinubu’s maternal role in both her family and the nation. The poem expressed deep admiration for her compassion, sacrifice, and faith, calling her a “true woman of God, with a heart full of light.”
“We’re thankful for your love, that’s always true,
A mother’s love, that forever shines through,” the poem reads.
“Happy 65th birthday, Dear Mummy First Lady.”
