Princess Oyarekhua wins BCGS ladies Monday outing
ABIODUN JIMOH, BENIN CITY
It was a pleasant victory for Princess Habiibah Oyeghe Oyarekhua, lady captain, Benin Club Golf Section (BCGS), as she won the Club Ladies Monday Outing.
The lady captain at the end of the nine holes outing sponsored by Engr. Ojomo Esosa, played a net score of 38, thus beat ex-lady captain, Suwadetu Mahmud (43) to second place. Another former lady captain, Folake Okorodudu settled for third place with 46 net score, while Nora Ucheagwu placed fourth with 48 net.
Osaze Iyare won the men’s category with a net score of 35, Mojeed Mahmud and Reuben Osahon were adjudged first and second runner-up with 36 net respectively.
In the veteran ladies category, Professor Josephine Mokwunyei net score of 40 won her the category, while Chief Afam Obanor was at his best in the veteran men’s category with a net score of 31.
The highlight of the golf outing was the presentation of prizes to all those who distinguished themselves at the event.
