Press Release: NLC LP Political Commission, Nenadi Usman Led Committee Set to Launch “operation Recover and Redeem!”
:
In what promises to be the mother of all battles ever recorded in Nigeria’s internal political party battles since Independence, founding trustees, NWC leaders, organized labour veterans and constitutionally established members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of Nigeria’s premier workers party, the Labour Party, in joint action with functionaries of the Nenadi Usman led National Caretaker Committee of the party, met for the second day today in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria for what the conference called “fine-tuning of extraordinary actions on recovering and redeeming the Julius Abure battered image and desecration of the Nigeria Labour Party.”
The mission of the conclave is to finalize a crack action plan for a decisive battle to recover the party once and for all time from what its leadership further describes as “the odious cesspool of transactional and mercantile grip of the Abure led usurpers of our party.”
The leaders reiterated their long held position that the Abure led mob of the Labour Party are “a treacherous, criminal transactional fraud vehicle” paid by masters outside the party to give the party a bad name nationwide, strategically and rapidly drain out its elected members at all levels as seen in the recent rashes of defections to the ruling APC, and to discourage a deluge of Nigerians who were once genuinely eager to join the party, especially in the period before and after the 2023 general elections.
The leadership of the NLC Political Commission and its Nenadi Usman Caretaker Committee functionaries stated that the damage being done to the followership base of the party’s 2023 presidential candidate and potential candidate again in 2027, Mr. Peter Obi, is a concern they have borne with silent anguish and studious equanimity for some time. They said this was to enable them to quietly collate essential facts and data about the many perfidies, shocking new forgeries by the Abure group used to mislead INEC and various courts, and deliberate misinterpretations by the Abure group of various high court and appeal court judgments on the party’s leadership status since 2024 to date.
The conference states that although all the judgments on the Labour Party litigations unanimously and unequivocally declared that they, the courts, had no jurisdiction whatsoever to determine or rule on the internal leadership of political parties, Abure and his cohorts of his illegal, INEC boycotted gathering mislabeled as convention, continued to criminally impersonate and parade themselves as the leadership of the party and to larcenously extort monies from misinformed and ignorant aspirants for various political offices since 2024 to date, especially the imminent Abuja FCT municipal council elections and the Anambra governorship election coming up later in the year.
The battle-ready leaders of the NLC Political Commission and National Caretaker Committee stated that the work of collating evidences and gathering fighting arsenals against the Julius Abure usurpers is fully done and the time had come to completely, unequivocally and uncompromisingly take the party entirely from the claws of the Julius Abure mob. Thereafter, the LP conference will roll out nationwide congresses for the party culminating in its promised all-inclusive national convention as adjudicated and dictated by the irrevocable Consent Judgment of the Justice Gabriel Kolawole judgment of March 18, 2020.
The central objective of this battle line, according to the LP leadership, is to decisively stem the draining away of the party’s once unprecedented human capital deluge, recover the battered image of the party and rebuild it into a healthy, winning vehicle for its well-known world class presidential candidate and other aspirants who wish to fly the party’s flag in the 2027 elections.
