Presidential fall: Show empathy rather than gloating or celebrating -Peter Obi urges Nigerians

“It’s disheartening to see people gloating over Tinubu’s fall. Let’s not forget, it could happen to any of us,” Peter remarked, urging for compassion and solidarity in the face of such occurrences.

Amidst the flurry of reactions to Tinubu’s slip, Peter’s message resonates as a reminder of the importance of empathy and mutual respect, especially during moments of vulnerability.

In a series of posts vis his official X handle on Wednesday, Obi wrote: “I was saddened to learn of President Tinubu’s unfortunate fall today. I wish him well. We achieve nothing by gloating about an accident that could well happen to any of us.

“We are all human beings, and, while we profoundly disagree on how to move Nigeria forward, we must remember our common human frailty. Let us stay focused on the issues that will lead to a new Nigeria.
