President Tinubu Departs for Europe Ahead of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday, December 28, departed Lagos for Europe as part of his end-of-year break, ahead of an official engagement in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The President has been invited by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to participate in the 2026 edition of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW 2026) Summit, scheduled to hold early in January.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is a weeklong global summit that brings together leaders from government, business, and civil society to shape strategies for the next phase of sustainable development. The summit serves as a platform for dialogue and collaboration on critical global challenges, with a focus on innovation and inclusive growth.

The 2026 edition of the summit is themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go,” highlighting the integration of innovation, finance, and human capital to translate global sustainability ambitions into practical actions.

President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the conclusion of the summit.
