President Bola Tinubu arrives Benue over Yelwata killing

President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Benue State over the killings of scores of residents of Yelwata in the state.

Tinubu arrived at the Makurdi Airport located at the tactical air command, Nigerian Air Force Base, Makurdi, about 12:58 pm.

Reports from Benue said that Tinubu was scheduled to visit Yelewata on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

The president announced on Monday that he would visit the state on Wednesday, following heavy backlash from Nigerians who called him out for failing to empathise with the families affected by recent attacks by gunmen in the North-Central state.
