Presidency Debunks Rumours of INEC Chairman’s Sack

IThe Presidency on Monday debunked the rumour going round the Socia Media that INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has been removed from office.

The Presidency firmly denied the claims, labeling them as “fake news.”

Senior Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Digital Media and New Media, O’tega Ogra, addressed the matter on Monday, urging the public to ignore the misinformation.

“Disregard any fake news making the rounds about the replacement of the INEC Chairman,” Ogra stated, emphasizing that any official announcement regarding such a development would emanate from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) or other authorized channels.
