Police Officers Jubilate as New Uniforms Roll Out Nationwide

Police personnel across Nigeria have expressed excitement as the Nigeria Police Force began distributing new uniforms to officers, with Zone 12, Bauchi, among the first beneficiaries.

The initiative, aimed at boosting welfare and professionalism in the force, has been met with widespread jubilation.

Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Thomas Goni, in a statement on Tuesday on behalf of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police for Zone 12, said the move is already lifting officers’ morale.

“This new uniform will make a real difference in our daily operations. We are grateful for the leadership’s support,” one officer said. Another added, “This shows our work is valued, and we are proud to serve with dignity.”

The police leadership said the exercise is not just symbolic but strategic, designed to enhance confidence, pride, and operational effectiveness. Distribution will continue in phases across other zones of the country.
