Police Bust Factory Where Used Condoms Are Repackaged

A factory where used condoms are being repackaged as new was discovered on Thursday in Vietnam.
Local media reported that Market inspectors in the Binh Duong province raided the factory near Ho Chi Minh City and found about 345,000 used condoms which had been recycled.
A 34-year-old woman who was said to be the owner of the factory confessed that the condoms were bought from an unidentified person.

The state-owned Tuoi Tre newspaper reported that after buying the condoms from a man, they wash, reshape and then pack in plastic bags.
Footage by state-owned Vietnam Television (VTV) showed dozens of large bags containing the used condoms and the tools apparently used to wash and reshape the condoms in the factory.
It was however not clear how many used condoms were already resold to the market.
