Plateau records 17 new Lassa fever cases, 5 deaths
The Plateau State Government has confirmed 17 new Lassa Fever cases in the state.
Commissioner for Health in the State Dr. Kamshak Kuden, while confirming the new cases of Lassa Fever said so far the state has recorded five deaths within the past few days.
Details are yet to be disclosed on the location of the identified patients.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian Army Headquarters 3 Division, Jos had reported the death of its personnel from suspected Lassa Fever a fortnight ago.
The soldier was said to have been admitted at Bingham University Teaching Hospital, Jos until his demise.
