Peter Obi dismisses rumors of joining ADC, reaffirms loyalty to Atiku
Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has dismissed speculation that he may join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), stating that he remains committed to his current political alignment.
In a recent statement, Obi said, “I am not joining ADC. I can’t re-join what I am already a part of. Nobody is stepping down for me in ADC. We have all agreed to work together and Atiku remains my respected leader.”
The clarification comes amid circulating reports suggesting that Obi might consider a vice-presidential slot alongside Atiku Abubakar. By emphasizing his loyalty, Obi appears to signal continued cooperation within his current political framework while respecting the leadership of the former Vice President.
Political analysts believe Obi’s statement seeks to quell speculation and reassure supporters of his unwavering political stance.
