PENPUSHING PLATFORM COMMENDS OGUN POLICE FOR SPEEDY ARREST OF GUNMAN WHO KILLED MOTORBOY
A group under the platform of penpushing, a renowned social media network has commended the Ogun State Police Command over speedy arrest of a gunman,who shot dead a motorboy in Abeokuta.
The suspect,Tunde Olatubosun had on April 29 killed the motorboy,Rasaq at a carwash centre along Ewang Estate,Abeokuta, alleging that the fuel tanker the boy was working with block his passage.
The culprit after the crime fled the scene to Republic of Togo,but the police under 24 hours uncovered the identity of the runaway suspect,as well as his hideout. He was subsequently fished out and brought back to Nigeria.
The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilyasu while speaking with journalists said when the crime was committed,the command considered it as a challenge which the authority was not ready to tolerate.
He said officers and men of the command were put on red alert,with a specific instruction to get the murderer arrested,adding that less than 4 hours the profile of the suspect was uncovered through the coveted use of technical on intelligence.
However, participants on the platform gave kudos to the command for the competence displayed on the crime which led to subsequent and speedy arrest of the suspect.
In his own reaction, a legal practitioner, Kehinde Akinsola said,’more importantly that the culprit could be arrested. Well done Ogun Police and Kudos to the Penpushing platform’
Also speaking,Dayo Da-silva,a journalist in his own comment wrote, ‘I hope our people would openly commend the police like they used to condemn them! Kudos for a job well done’
Similarly, a media aide to Ogun State Governor,Rotimi Durojaiye,gave kudos to the command,saying, ‘Ogun State Police Command has done a marvelous job. Let the law take its due course’.
A social critic and public anaylist,Ola Animasaun in his own submission wrote, ‘a resounding gbosa to Nigeria police at their best. More grease to your elbow and now prosecutorial stage’
Also a female journalist and Vice Chairperson, National Association of Women Journalists(NAWOJ),Ogun State Chapter,Nike Ajala wrote, ‘Ogun police has done a great job, we hope that the law take its due course to crown the effort of job well done by police’
In the same vein,Bimbo Alagbe,a public relations practitioner stated, ‘Let all those who promised to follow this up to logical conclusion spring into action now in ensuring that justice is obtained for the bereaved and the victim and thank to the police for job well done’
In similar vein, Ogun State Commander of Vigilante Service, Soji Ganzallo wrote, ‘kudos to the Ogun State Police Command under the leadership of our amiable CP Ahmed Iliyasu on the arrest of the trigger happy man who killed that motor boy at a car wash in Abeokuta. We have the best crop of Police Officers in Nigeria. Thanks to all those that assisted for this to happen’.
A Cleric, Apostle Olusesi Obateye in his own submission said, ‘Nigeria police is one of the best in the world according to the many reports of UNITED NATIONS-UN. Our police excel in various peace keeping missions they participated’.
‘Here in Nigeria, I have personally witnessed that you have capacity to burst any crime no matter how difficult it is. The case in view is one example, in that you were not present at the scene of the crime still you traced him to another country and got him’
Also in his own comment,founder of Filtlah Entertainment Adesina wrote,’ the investigation must be deep to really get to the root of how he got the military uniform including the gun 🔫 the ballistic must come to play in the investigation. It must be confirmed that the man is truly fake military. The military can denied him in order to save their face it is not impossible, my opinion’
