PDP sweeps chairmanship, councillorship election in Ebonyi

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has won all the 13 Chairmanship and 171 Councilorship positions Ebonyi State.

The State Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, had on Saturday conducted local Government Election in the state I.

Announcing the result at the Commission headquarters Abakaliki on Sunday, the Chairman of the Commission, Barrister Jossy Eze declared that the PDP was victorious in all the 13 Chairmanship seats and all the 171 Councillorship wards in the State.

He said, “the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the entire Chairmanship/Councillorship seats in Abakaliki, Afikpo North, Afikpo South, Ishielu, Ikwo, Ivo, Izzi, Ohaukwu, Ohaozara, Onicha, Ebonyi, Ezza North, and Ezza South local Government Areas respectively.”
