PDP Presidential ticket: Mark gets Obasanjo, Danjuma endorsement

….. ex- Leaders describes former Senate President as a nationalist

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Defence minister, General Theophilus Danjuma were unanimous today that former president of the Senate and Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) presidential contender, Senator David Mark a competent and patriotic Nigerian to lead the nation .

The presidential aspirant met the two leaders this evening separately at Abeokuta, Ogun and Lagos states respectively ahead of the national convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers state  on Saturday.

They were of the opinion that Senator Mark possess the requisite skill , knowledge and experience needed to put the nation back on track , saying that he has over the years demonstrated unwavering commitment to the ideals of nation hood.


The two parleys were however held behind closed doors but at the end of the meetings, Senator Mark said “ I have come to brief our leaders of my ambition and to seek their guidance and blessings. I am happy to report that I got the go ahead and their endorsement.

“ I am grateful for this gesture. I promise to do only those things that would give them pride and honor. I am flattered by their show of affection and encouragement. I can only promise not to let them down”.

Senator Mark reiterated that his priority is to do everything possible to bring peace, unity and progress of the nation if elected.
