PDP Crisis: Bode George threatens to dump party if Sheriff wins at Supreme court

Former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bode George, has vowed to dump the party should the Supreme Court declare Ali Modu Sheriff as the National Chairman of the party.

George, who is of the Ahmed Makarfi’s faction maintained that should the ruling of the apex court sway in favour of the former Borno State Governor, he will gladly to his home and children.

He made the disclosure while reacting to a question from Punch saying, will you join the APC if the Makarfi faction loses at the apex court?

Responding to the question, the elder statesman said, “Me? (Laughs) That is like pouring petrol into fire. If Makarfi did not win, I will be so happy to go to my house and say to my children, “I think I have run the race and played my part.

“Yes, I am going home. I won’t work with him. My concept of operation would have been affected.”

George’s comment is coming at a time when a Chieftain of the party and Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, also threatened to dump the party should the Supreme Court affirms Sheriff as the leader of the party.
