PDP convention: Group urges delegates to vote Ologbondiyan as spokesman of the party
A group of young Nigerian in the People’s Democratic Party PDP, under the aegis of ‘Right People, Good Governance Committee’ has called on delegates to the forthcoming national convention of the party to vote wisely by electing Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan as the National Publicity Secretary of the party.
The group made the call on Saturday in a statement issued by its National President, Comrade Chukwudi Nwago and Mohammad Yunus scribe.
The group said going by the antecedents of Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan as SA Media to former Senate President, David Mark and as a foremost journalist for many years, there can never be any better candidate but Ologbondiyan.
”We have watched with kin interest Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan’s professional conduct, we came to the conclusion that the best candidate for the post of National Publicity Secretary of our great party is no other person but Mr. Kola.
“We need a young and vibrant person like Mr. Kola to hold the position of our party spokesman so as to match and overtake the famous ‘Lie’ Lai Mohammed. Kola’s professional experience in the field of journalism and eight years of working with the number three citizen of the country stand him out for the job”.
The group therefore, called on all the youths with the party to rally round and support the candidature of Kola and also ensure that he wins, adding that he (Kola) is best man who can protect the interest of youths in PDP.
“We count on all the youths in our great party PDP to come out and endorse Kola’s candidature by rallying round him and also canvass for all delegates vote at the convention”.
They, however, urged delegates to follow suit in electing right people into all the elective post, adding that it is the only way the party can wrestle power from the ruling APC come 2019.
