Osun Governorship Poll: PDP screens Dele Adeleke, Ogunbiyi, four others

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday in Abuja screened Dele Adeleke, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi and Dotun Babayemi for its ticket, ahead of the Osun State governorship election.

Others also screened were Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, Emmanuel Oluseye and Senator Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle.

Although this medium gathered from NAN that Sen. Ademola Adeleke was conspicuously absent during the exercise, but another inside source revealed that he came early and he was the first person attended to which made him to leave immediately.

The exercise, which lasted about three hours, took place at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja , with the aspirants taking turns to appear before the five-member screening committee.

Briefing reporters after the exercise, the Chairman of the Screening Committee, Mr. Mohammed Adoke, said the exercise was seamless.

He said the panel received a few petitions against one of the aspirants, adding that the petitions were treated on their merit.
