Oshoffa Mandates Monthly Youth Development Offering in Celestial Church

The Pastor and Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church of Christ, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, has directed all parishes worldwide to introduce a special offering dedicated to youth development every third Sunday of the month.

The directive was conveyed in a statement issued on Saturday by the church’s Head of Communications, AVSE Kayode Ajala.

According to the statement, the move reinforces an earlier pastoral pronouncement made in 2011, which designated the third Sunday of every month as Youth Sunday across the church. Under that directive, youths were expected to take full responsibility for church services, including preaching, announcements, and other key roles.

However, the church leadership noted that while some parishes have adhered strictly to the directive, others have yet to fully implement it.

Reverend Oshoffa reiterated the importance of compliance, adding that a special collection must now be introduced alongside regular offerings on Youth Sundays to support youth development initiatives.

He clarified that the funds generated from the special collection would not be retained by individual parishes but must be remitted into a dedicated account managed by the church’s Youth and Education Development Committee.

The statement further called on Heads of Diocese, Regional, Zonal, District, and Area leaders, as well as Shepherds, to ensure full compliance with the directive across all parishes.
