Osakpamwan mobilises over 3,000 APC youths to welcome party national chairman
No fewer than three thousand youths of All Progressives Congress (APC), on Friday stormed the Benin Airport to welcome the party National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to the state.
The elated youths led by Comrade Osakpamwan Eriyo could not hide their affections for the former governor of Edo State whom they described as a father figure to the teeming youths.
While addressing journalists, Comrade Eriyo stated that there was no political reason attached to the gathering of the youths loyal to the party, but to give a rousing welcome to the national chairman in appreciation of his good work in the party.
He remarked that Oshiomhole legacy as the former governor of the state could not be quantified or measurable, having empowered youths and many others to attain higher heights.
While commenting on how he was able to mobilises these youths, he said “There is no gainsaying on the achievements of the national Chairman over the years as former governor, as well as when he was no longer in the office.
The youths are here on their own accord, not that I forced anyone to be here. These are youths that know the value of what the Comrade had done and is still doing for us. We are here to appreciate him and to say thank you sir.
“We will not relent to continually give our solidarity support to the Comrade, even in his new dispensation as the national chairman of this great party. 2019 elections is around the corner, we will work for our party to achieve victory.”
