Olayinka, Agana Win AGC Special Golf Kitty

The Abeokuta Golf Club pavilion was greeted with standing ovation as Tunde Olayinka and Kessy Agana were adjudged winners at the Special Golf Kitty held at the club golf course, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

The special kitty held on Saturday was organised by the management of AGC in honour of three newly appointed Commissioners in Ogun State, who are active golfers and members of the club over the years.

They are Hon. Afolabi Afuape, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Dr. Adeola Odedina, Commissioner for Agriculture; and Hon. Jamiu Omoniyi, Commissioner for Housing.

At the end of the 18 holes Stableford game which featured total of 43 golfers, Olayinka played 39 points to emerge winner in the men’s category having beat Chief Shina Luwoye on count back, while Alhaj Lukman Buari placed third with 38 points.

In the ladies category, Agana added to her collection of trophies as she continued her dominance with an astonishing 38 points to emerge winner, while the professional category finally went to Muba Sanusi, having played 36 points.

The highlight of the golf kitty was presentation of prizes to those who distinguished themselves, while special recognitions were accorded the commissioners who came with their friends to celebrate with them.
