OGUN TRACE EMBARK ON SPECIAL EASTER PATROL

Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, (TRACE) has commenced special operation for effective traffic operations during Easter festival.
A statement by the Corps Head, Media Relations and Strategy, Babatunde Akinbiyi in a statement tagged ”SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE DRIVING……. A MUST”,explained that the exercise will cover all the state and environs .
‘The exercise is to ensure effective Traffic Management, timely clearance of obstructions, prompt rescue/emergency service’,Akinbiyi said.
He said the agency is doing it in  collaboration with other sister/security agencies on all road network across the state traffic corridor before, during and after the Easter Celebration.
Akinbiyi said the exercise would involve the full deployment of TRACE Corps Operational Resources to man strategic beats and choke points across the State to check the excesses of recalcitrant motorists.
He added that the operation was reached considering the fact that, the Easter Celebration may bring about attendant traffic build-up, breakdown of ill-maintained vehicles, obstruction and road crashes.
The statement enjoined all motorists to ensure strict compliance to traffic rules and regulations, as any vehicle contravened for any traffic infraction(s) during the celebration would not be released until Monday 24th April, 2017, when the Corps would have ended her Easter Special Operation Order.
