By ABIODUN JIMOH, ABEOKUTA

Ogun State Police Command efforts to make the state crime free received a big boost as Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Ogun State branch has expressed its continuous support to the command.
State PFN Chairman, Apostle David Otaru who led other executive members to pay a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police (CP), Edward Awolowo Ajogun in his office, Eleweran, Abeokuta on Friday, October 9th, 2020 gave this support.
Apostle Otaru while speaking on behalf of the body acknowledged that within the short period the CP has spent in the state, his crime fighting efforts have been felt everywhere across the state.
The chairman cited the example of the serial killer in Ogere who had been on killing prowl ever before the assumption of the CP, but was swiftly neutralized barely one month after his assumption.
Also, he cited the example of those armed robbery suspects operating in military uniform along Shagamu-Benin road, but were recently rounded up. “With these and other achievements recorded in recent time, the PFN believed that the state is in for good things under the watch of CP Edward Ajogun.”
In his response, the CP thanked the association for the visit and their prayer, urging them not to relent in their prayers and support for the command as security is everybody’s business.
The highlight of the visitation was the investiture of the CP as PFN ambassador in the state, witnessed by other members of the delegation that included Pastor Abatan Isreal, state Advisory Council Chairman; Rev. Oludimu Ben and other state executive officers of the body.
