Ogun NUJ Pledges Support To Gov Abiodun Task Of Uplifting The State

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council has assured Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of its support in the task of uplifting the state to the desired height going by his administration’s mantra.

The NUJ stated this in a congratulatory message jointly signed by the Caretaker Committee Chairman, Comrade Omolola Adeyinka, and Secretary, Comrade Oluokun Wale respectively, and made available to Daily Dispatch on Monday.

In the statement, the Union also rejoiced with governor Abiodun, who is still in the mood of double celebrations on the occasion of his 60th birthday and one year in office anniversary.

Governor Abiodun 60th birthday anniversary on May 29th incidentally fell on one year anniversary of assumption of office as the Executive Governor of the Gateway State.

The statement read: “The Caretaker Committee and Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, wish your Excellency a happy birthday.

“The body of journalists in the state celebrates with you this special day of the entire year holding double joy of yours.
We hope you are still celebrating these two occasions with the entire good people of Ogun state that God has made it possible for you to be superintending.

“Journalists in Ogun State join your immediate family to wish you all the happiness, joy in your heart and success in the task of taking the state to another level among the comity of states in Nigeria.

“We also use this avenue to assure your excellency of our support in the task of uplifting the state to the desired height going by your administration’s mantra ‘gbega Ipinle Ogun, Àjọṣe gbogbo wa ni.”
