Ogun Monarch Loses Mother at 96

A notable traditional ruler in Ogun State, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, Towulade of Akinale Kingdom of Egbaland has lost his mother at the age of 96.
A statement from the palace issued by the monarch on Tuesday,said the deceased,Madam Nimota Oseni died on Sunday night,and survived by children and grandchildren
‘The last Matriarch of Lapeleke Dynasty,  founders of Akinale,  Owu kingdom,  Madam Nimota Oseni,  nee Olubajo,  has joined her ancestors at 96’,the statement reads.
The monarch said his late mother was the Iyalode Akinale who was born  to late ‘Olori Ebi’ Karimu Olubajo,  a legendary pillar of the Lapeleke Dynasty,  in Akinale in 1921.
‘ Madam Nimota,  a trader and community leader, married in the neighborhood of Akihan,  an adjunct Owu town,  and had successful children and grand children’.
A statement from Towulade’s Palace,  Akinale said a three night vigil during which the traditional rites of passage for the deceased has been announced.
Meanwhile, the burial arrangement would be made public after meeting by the family,the statement added
