Ogun Court Prosecutes 108 For Face Mask, Other Offences

Ogun State Mobile Magistrate Court has prosecuted one hundred and eight persons for violation of government directives to curb the coronavirus pandemic, and lockdown order.

They were arrested by security operatives for not using face masks and unlawful movement in Abeokuta metropolis, and hereby violated the state government directives.

The court presided over by Mr. David Ogogo at the trials sentenced 40 persons to engage in community service, while 41 others were to pay fine just as remaining 27 were released unconditionally.

Ogun State Command Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson while addressing newsmen at Obantoko area, Abeokuta expressed displeasure at the level of compliance by people during the lockdown order as directed by both the federal and state government.
