Ogun Command Arrests Man For Defiling A Minor

Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 23 year old man, Badmus Qaudri for defiling a three year old girl at Owode Egbado axis, Ogun West Senatorial district.
DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Command PPRO  in a statement emphasised that the suspect was arrested on Thursday, June 11th, 2020 after the girl’s mother reported at Owode Egbado police station that she noticed blood at the private part of her daughter after returning from market.
He said that the victim upon interrogation by her mother revealed that it was Quadri who lured her into his room and had carnal knowledge of her.
“Upon the report, the DPO Owode Egbado division SP Olabisi Elebutte led her detectives to the area where the suspect who is a neighbor to the parent of the girl was promptly arrested after the victim identified him.
“She was quickly taken to the general hospital at Idiroko where it was confirmed that she has been defiled,” he disclosed.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police (CP) Kenneth Ebrimson has ordered the transfer of the case to anti human trafficking and child labour unit of state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
The CP also reiterated the readiness of the command to deal decisively with anybody who involved himself in act of violence against women in accordance with the law of the land.The state
