Ogun AMORON chairman, Afuye promises better welfare package for members

Chairman, Accredited Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORON), Ogun State chapter, Comrade Monsuru Balogun has promised quality and better welfare package for members of the Association across the state.
Comrade Balogun, popularly called Afuye, stated this during the Nigeria at 59 Independence Day anniversary held at the Gateway stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun state on Tuesday.
Comrade Afuye led AMORON, registered with the Trade Union Council (TUC), hereby during the march pass used the occasion to present a crash helmet to the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to the admiration of crowd at the stadium.
This action was greeted with applause from government officials, members and all other participants, thus confirmed his led AMORON as the only recognised Association in the state.
Speaking to Daily Dispatch after the presentation, the chairman who spoke through one of his committee members, Comrade Kolawole Rasheed noted that Comrade Afuye has keyed into Prince Abiodun led administration developmental projects to improve the welfare of citizens in respective of religion or group.
He said: “Right from the day one that our amiable governor Abiodun assumed office, Comrade Monsuru has been buying motorcycles for members to alleviate their plights.
“Comrade Monsuru is following the foot step of governor Abiodun and it is our belief that all okada riders in the state will enjoy his tenure, because he is a good leader with big heart to assist members.
Moreover, while responding to the alleged division in the AMORON, he explained that the administration of President Muhammad Buhari allowed establishment of various association of people. “But the true one knows themselves, so also the fake association.
“We are the real members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, and members of Afuye Forum contesting for the AMORON chairmanship position in the state. We are fully registered under the government as a member of accredited, not articulated.
“Because government did not want problem, they decided to merge us together to be with articulated, but we are full registered under Trade Union Congress (TUC), We are accredited members of Ogun State working for okada riders.
“We gathered for the benefits of members that is why we are formidable. From the first of day our governor in office, that our chairman, Comrade Monsuru Balogun has steeped up his ambition and desire to improve members by buying motorcycles for them.
“Secondly, to plant love and unity in our midst so that the government of Prince Abiodun and President Buhari will do well,” he said.
