Ogun 2027: Yayi, APC Leaders Present Deputy Governorship Candidate to Tinubu at Aso Rock
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has taken another step in preparations for the 2027 governorship election as they presented the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun (KAAB), to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.
The delegation, described as the “Progressives Team” from Ogun State, was led by prominent APC leaders, including former Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba; former Osun State Governor and pioneer APC National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande; and Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
During the visit, Mrs. Adegunwa-Balogun and her husband, Hon. Abdulrasaq Balogun, were formally introduced to the President alongside Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and his wife, Temitope Adeola.

Speaking after the meeting, members of the delegation described the visit as another milestone in the party’s efforts to consolidate support ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State.
The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the APC’s political agenda in the state and expressed confidence in the party’s preparedness for future electoral contests.
They also reiterated their support for President Tinubu’s administration, declaring that the progressive family in Ogun State remains united and focused on sustaining the party’s dominance in the state while backing the President’s leadership beyond the current term.
The visit underscored the growing political alignment among APC stakeholders in Ogun State as consultations and strategic engagements ahead of the 2027 elections continue to gather momentum.
