OGD rejects Buruji Ogun East Senatorial offer, says “I didn’t obtain form for the seat”

Former Governor of Ogun state and the Director General of Atiku for President Campaign has rejected an offer to run for Ogun-East Senatorial district under the Adebayo Dayo led faction of Peoples Democratic Party.

In an interview with Channels Television yesterday, OGD explained that he didn’t obtain any form to contest for any political position in the party, hence re-affirmed his decision to be committed to the present responsibility he is saddled with to steer the ship of Atiku Abubakar’s Presidential bid.

He further added that with his status as a leader in the party, he would only be interested in activities that would make the party stronger and more relevant towards upstaging the ruling party in the 2019 general election.

OGD stressed further he would not in any ways be involved in any mission targeted at upturning the interest of the PDP National Executive Council or National Working Committee.

Few days back, Buruji Kashamu had released a list offering the former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD) a place in his camp to run as Ogun East Senator under the umbrella of Adebayo Dayo led State Executives faction of PDP in Ogun state.

The two-time former Governor of the state, however appealed to the members of PDP and the good people of Ogun State to remain calm and steadfast with a belief that in a couple of days, the right Candidates of the party will be made public as submitted to INEC by the PDP NEC/NWC.
